A scholar with a Ph.D. in the decorative arts, Michael Connors has operated his own antiques business since 1987.

Connors' exhaustive research into the subject of Colonial Caribbean Furniture for his doctoral dissertation led to a widespread and enduring popularity in the style.

As a result, Connors was commissioned to design two lines of furniture for Baker Furniture, both of which reflect the casual elegance of colonial Caribbean style.
